How to install RDS CAL on Server 2019

Before you install RDS User/Device Cal on Server 2019,
First you need to add Roles and Features to configure this local server !
Then you can Install the Windows Server RDS User/Device Cal
If you still do not have RDS CAL, you can get it from the Microsoft partner store Keyingo.com

First, let’s add Roles and Features to configure this local server:

1, Let’s open the Server Manager, then click Add Roles and Features

2, You will see the page “Before You Begin “, Click on Next.

3, Select “Role based or Feature based Installation”, then click “Next”

4, Select a server from the server pool or Select a virtual hard disk, both are ok, then click “next”

5, Tick the “Remote Desktop Services”, then click “Next”.

6, Leave the Features section by default. then click “Next”.
7, Click “Next”.
8, Select “Remote Desktop Session Host” and “Remote Desktop Licensing” then click “Next”.

9, Select” Restart the destination server automatically if required” then click Install

10, Click “Close” once finished.
So we finally complete adding Roles and Features to this local server！

Let’s install Windows Server 2019 RDS Cals now :

1, Open“Server Manager”, navigate to Tools, Select “Remote Desktop Services” then Select “Remote Desktop Licensing Manager”

2, Expand the server section then right click on the server and select “Activate Server “.

3, A Windows with “Welcome to the Activate Server Wizard” will open. Then click “Next”.
4, Set the connection method as Automatic then click on “Next”.
5, Enter your Full Name and your company name then click “Next”.
6, Enter your emails and your company’s details then click “Next”. Enter your email and company details then click Next. You can also leave this field blank as it is optional Information fields.
7, Completing the Activate Server Wizard, Select “Start Install license wizard now”, click “Next”.

8, Select “License pack (Retail Purchase)” in license program,  then click on “Next”.

9, Enter your Server 2019 RDS User Cal License key, Click “Add ” then click “Next”.

10, All done. The RDS CAL is now activated.
